The Kings Head is situated in the village of Guilsfield near Welshpool in North Powys close to the Wales/England border and within close proximity to the stunning Lake Vyrnwy. The traditional and historic pub is now run by Richard & Sara Griffiths who took over the reins in 2010.

Following extensive refurbishment in December 2012 you are now assured of a very warm welcome in our restaurant which can seat up to 54 people and offers a very wide choice to suit all tastes in addition to some good local cask ales to quench your thirst.

Our beer garden at the rear of the property is ideal for the family and has an Under 5's Toddler Zone. We can cater for birthdays, christenings, weddings and funeral teas and have a very competitive buffet menu available which includes mouth-watering homemade cakes and desserts.

We stock a fine selection of wines from Momentum Wines in Oswestry and have live music on a regular basis.

Full wheelchair access is available throughout and there is a disabled toilet on site too.

The King's Head have been finalists for the Food Awards Wales 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016. We have also been awarded overall winner for Gastro Pub of the Year in Wales 2017 and Gastro Pub of the Year in Mid Wales 2019.
